The questions contractors ask before they call.
Straight answers — no agency doublespeak. If a question isn't on here, ask it on the call. We'd rather give you a real answer than a polished one.
You shouldn't have to guess.
Most of the contractors we talk to have been burned by an agency before — or told a story that sounded good and went nowhere. These are the questions that come up the most. If yours isn't here, bring it to the call.
Ask your own question01How much does it cost to work with Contractors Guild?
It depends on what your business actually needs — which is why we don't publish a flat price list. A roofer who needs Google Ads to fill the calendar next month and a custom home builder with a two-year pipeline need completely different things. On a 20- to 60-minute call we'll tell you exactly what we'd recommend, what it costs, and what to skip. No mystery pricing, no 90-page proposal.
02Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. We work month-to-month because we'd rather earn your business every month than lock you into a 12-month agreement you can't get out of. If the work isn't doing what we said it would, you should be able to walk. That keeps us honest.
03How long until I start seeing results?
Google and Meta Ads can start driving leads inside the first week once they're live — that's the fastest path. SEO and a new website are slower, more like 2 to 3 months to see real movement. On the first call we'll be straight with you about which timeline fits your situation and which one won't fix your problem in time.
04Do you actually know my trade, or is this another agency that treats a plumber like a dentist?
We only work with construction and home-service businesses. We came up in the trades and we study how each one actually gets hired — an emergency plumber runs on speed and missed-call recovery, a custom home builder runs on trust and a portfolio over months. We build around that, not a generic agency playbook. That's the whole reason this company exists.
05I already have a website and ads running. Can you still help?
Usually, yes. A lot of the contractors we talk to already have something running — it's just underperforming, costing too much per lead, or sending the wrong kind of work. We'll look at what you've got, tell you what's working, what's leaking money, and what we'd change first. If everything's already dialed in, we'll say so.
06Do I have to sign up for everything, or can I just start with one thing?
Start with whatever makes sense for your business right now. If you only need Google Ads this quarter, that's all we'll do. If you need a new site, ads, and SEO, we'll scope it together. We build the plan around how you actually get hired — we don't sell a bundle just to sell a bundle.
07Where are you based, and do you work with contractors outside your area?
We're based in Phoenix, Arizona, and we work with contractors across the country. Almost everything we do — the campaigns, the sites, the reporting — runs remote. What matters is that you can reach a real person when you need one.
08What happens on the first call?
A real conversation, not a pitch. We'll ask about your crew, your service area, the kind of work you want more of, and where you're losing jobs right now. By the end you'll have a straight recommendation on what to spend on, what to skip, and what to fix first — whether or not you end up working with us.
09How do I know if I'm a good fit?
If you're a contractor or home-service business that does good work and wants more of it, we're probably a fit. If you're looking for the cheapest possible marketing or you don't care whether the leads are qualified, we're probably not. The first call will tell us both, fast.
Twenty minutes on the phone beats twenty pages of fine print.
You'll talk to someone who knows your trade, not a sales rep reading a script. We'll tell you what we'd do, what it costs, and whether it's worth it for your business.
Good contractors deserve to be seen.
Tell us about your crew and your service area. Twenty to sixty minutes on the phone and you'll know exactly where to spend — and where to save.
A former electrician started this. We came out of the trades to help contractors build something bigger — not to sell marketing to businesses we don't understand.
21 trades served. One crew behind every account.
